DH Scott is a songwriter born in Bakersfield, CA and now resides in New Mexico. Scott spent his youth busking with his banjo and saw, hitchhiking and getting swept away in beautiful music, places, and people. It is easy to feel all that life and kindness, in his music and in his presence. Well traveled, a music lover with a giant heart, Scott writes simple folk songs on his guitar, his voice and words are sad, yet strong. Ballads of darker times on top of an often cheerful silver stringed guitar which he flawlessly picks, every note necessary and deliberate, his songs roll like a stream. These are songs that are going to keep you company, just like the friend DH Scott is to many folks along his forever tour, or perhaps they'll remind you the simple joy of forever rambling alone.”
"Born in a city he felt quickly rejected him, Robert Quijano found much of his inspiration from the crumbling infrastructure and fast-pace meltdowns of Los Angeles. Quijano has performed with Los Angeles darlings Manhattan Murder Mystery, Circus of Books, and Santa Youth. RQ is currently residing in Taos, New Mexico where he writes and performs his own music."
Sun Riah is the name of Oklahoman experimental harpist and songwriter M. Bailey Stephenson's project. Her most recent album, Sitting with Sounds and Listening for Ghosts, was released by Austin-based label Keeled Scales on July 21, 2017.
Named one of Paste Magazine’s “five harpists who nail experimental pop music,” she sings and drums into her harp and layers melodies into a dreamy tapestry of sound. Sun Riah’s voice wanders a broad swath between Julianna Barwick and Kate Bush and her music is not entirely unlike her freak-folk predecessors Joanna Newsom and Coco Rosie.
“There’s a lot of different layers of storytelling on this album,” recounts Stephenson, “but what inspired me to write it was losing somebody in my family and realizing that my relationship to this particular place was going to change dramatically.”
She’s currently living in Tucson, Arizona pursuing her Ph.D. and at work on a new album.
